LegalZoom hits a legal hurdle in North Carolina
LegalZoom hits a legal hurdle in North Carolina. Good news for lawyers--at least for now. Ultimately I think the Supreme Court is going to rule LegalZoom can operate in North Carolina; this ruling will obviate the pending new case under the Supremacy Clause. The Court is trending right and in favor of unfettered capitalism. This cuts against regulating the practice of law by non-attorneys. Easy to do when you have job security as a justice of SCOTUS.
