An informal writing competition? Judges write with flourish in striking down gay-marriage bans
An informal writing competition? Judges write with flourish in striking down gay-marriage bans. But are these flourishes good writing? If there is a time that calls for writing flourishes, I suppose it is now. These are momentous decisions, and they are almost forcing SCOTUS to follow suit. If SCOTUS leaves it up to the states, then states will fall like dominos--as they are already doing--or they could just declare marriage equality everywhere. Why not? What's stopping them?
