Partners in study gave legal memo a lower rating when told author wasn't white
Partners in study gave legal memo a lower rating when told author wasn't white. This is staggering. The same memo scored .9 points lower on a 5 point scale when written by a black man. Crazy. Absolutely crazy. It is not a good sign for these firms, and it demonstrates a built in racial bias. Makes you wonder if a brief written by a woman would be scored differently than a man or a lawyer from an Ivy League school versus a non-Ivy law school.
