Two NOSSCR Members Have Letters to the Editor Published in Chicago Tribune | NOSSCR. These are well argued editorials. Social Security disability is unfairly maligned. It is a tough area of the law, where around 40 % of all cases are ultimately successful. I've handled hundreds of these cases, and I have NEVER seen a time where someone who didn't deserve disability received disability. Judges debate lawyers vigorously on cases when it is needed, but they are fair. There is a lot of give and take, and lawyers and judges have to be knowledgeable in Social Security disability law. Those who say otherwise are ignorant.
