Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin thought he would be acquitted, his lawyer says
Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin thought he would be acquitted, his lawyer says. I never thought he would be acquitted. I've heard crap about Nagin for years from some of my Louisiana friends. Even for Louisiana politics, New Orleans in particular, this guy is dirty. Real dirty. I can't erase the foe displays of emotion during Katrina from Nagin while he gorged himself on the public's money, a public made up largely of poor black people. It is another sad chapter in the Katrina tragedy.
