City attorney sued by watchdog group for using private account for work-related emails
City attorney sued by watchdog group for using private account for work-related emails. I don't believe e-mails that would otherwise be public should be shielded just because they are from a "private" account. This would elevate form over substance. It depends on how strictly the court wants to construe the statute and what the cases in California say about this particular issue. Seems quite similar to the Chris Christie scandal.
