ABA committee throws in the towel on new bar pass standard
ABA committee throws in the towel on new bar pass standard. I am not sure if 75% bar passage is too high nationwide. Some states have difficult bar exams where the passage rate is much less than 75% so it is difficult to apply a national standard. Law schools who have chronically low bar passage rates (50% or below) should lose accreditation however. It is a way of blunting the rise of the for profit law school.
