Social Security Administration shouldn't deny disability benefits to veterans
The Social Security Administration (www.ssa.gov) has been underfunded for years. Since 2010 there has been a concerted effort to defund SSA, and Senator Tom Coburn has led the effort. Coburn is retiring due to health issues, and I certainly wish him no ill will. But what about veterans who apply for Social Security disability and have to wait for two years or more to be awarded benefits due to his party's decision to defund SSA? Likewise, it doesn't help that Senator Ted Cruz and a cabal of Senators shut down the government last year. Shame on all of you.
