Mike Wells Sr. named NCBA President-Elect, Michael Wells Jr. wins NCBA Younger Lawyer Pro Bono Service Award in the same weekend

This past weekend was a good weekend for the Wells men.  Mike Wells Sr. was elected NCBA President-Elect.  Michael Wells Jr. won the NCBA Younger Lawyer Pro Bono Service Award.

Wells Sr. has been active in Winston-Salem for years in organizations such as the United Way and the Chamber of Commerce.  He also helped build the law firm Wells Jenkins where he is a highly regarded attorney and major rainmaker.

Wells Jr. won the pro bono award in large part to the success of an ABA YLD award winning project known as "Project Grace."  The project conducted clinics through out the state where lawyers drafted Health Care POAs and Living Wills for people with limited resources.
